The Irish Archaeology Field School and Irish National Heritage Park invite proposals for papers for a conference on 18th & 19th October, 2019 commemorating both the arrival of the Anglo-Normans in Wexford and the construction of the Carrick ringwork 850 years ago.
Proposed papers should fit into one of the following categories:
- Wexford and Ireland in the Middle Ages
- The history and archaeology of Carrick
- Sites relating to the Anglo-Norman period, which are comparable to Carrick
Papers should last 20 minutes (+10 minutes for discussion).
We also invite proposals for themed sessions, comprising 3 speakers (please provide a proposal for each paper).
Proposals should contain the following information:
- name/title
- institutional affiliation (if any)
- email address
- abstract (c. 100 words)
Proposals should be sent to denis.shine@iafs.ie no later than Friday 26th April. A decision on proposals will be made before Friday 10th May.
