AN352: Excavation and Community Archaeology: Constructing Pasts, Places and Personhood:
AN352 , a two-week course, will be delivered, taught and assessed by an international team of IAFS archaeologists and specialists, at the site of one of the first Norman castles constructed in Ireland in 1169AD/CE. This summer school program gives students a hands-on orientation of field techniques and field anthropology in the disciplines of archaeology and physical anthropology. You will be expected to produce work that shows your critical engagement with your discoveries, medieval Wexford, and the Irish archaeological and historical landscape.
All students will receive Maynooth University transcripts after the end of the program, attesting to their grade and completion of the module.
